We believe in Rescue, Rehabilitating and Rehoming all dogs.
(We specialize in German Shepards)

We also temporarily house the pets of domestic violence victims, so that they can get the help they need, safe shelter that is needed and not have the stress of worrying about their pet.

OUR MISSION

Comprehensive Canine Rescue, Rehabilitation & Responsible Adoption
We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming large-breed dogs, particularly German Shepherds, focusing on those at risk of euthanasia in shelters and strays. Please note, we do have breed restrictions.

Our comprehensive approach ensures each dog receives the best possible start:

Rehabilitation Program: We partner with local veterinarians, professional groomers, and expert trainers to address every aspect of a dog's well-being.

Medical Care: Full health assessments, treatments, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and specialized care.

Physical Wellness: Grooming for hygiene and comfort, alongside physical conditioning to build strength and aid recovery.

Behavioral Training: Extensive obedience training, socialization, and behavior modification to ensure dogs are confident and well-adjusted for their new homes.

Adopter Education: We empower prospective adopters through a mandatory educational training program. This course covers:

Dog Health: Essential knowledge of canine ailments, preventative care, and nutrition.

Training & Behavior: Effective positive reinforcement techniques, leash manners, and understanding canine communication.
This ensures our dogs are healthy and well-behaved, and their new families are knowledgeable and prepared for a lifetime of companionship.

Domestic Violence Pet Support
Recognizing that pets can be a barrier for domestic violence victims seeking safety, we collaborate with local organizations to provide safe, temporary housing for their dogs and cats. While time-restricted, we work closely with shelters and victims to ensure the best possible outcome for their pets during this critical time.

Our primary motivation is profound compassion, specifically directed towards large-breed dogs, with a focus on German Shepherds, who are most vulnerable. We commit to rescuing those at immediate risk of euthanasia in shelters and providing safety and care to neglected strays, ensuring their fundamental right to life and well-being.

2. Professional Excellence in Rehabilitation
We are unwavering in our commitment to providing the highest standard of professional care. Through strategic, collaborative partnerships with local veterinarians, expert groomers, and certified dog trainers, we deliver comprehensive rehabilitation that encompasses:

Physical Revitalization: Supporting comfort, hygiene, and strength development through professional grooming and tailored physical conditioning.
Behavioral Transformation: Implementing positive reinforcement training, extensive socialization, and targeted behavior modification to foster confidence, stability, and adaptability for successful integration into a family environment.

3. Empowerment Through Education
Our responsibility extends beyond rehabilitating dogs to preparing their future families for a successful and lifelong bond. We are dedicated to empowering prospective adopters through a mandatory, robust educational program. This ensures they possess the essential knowledge and practical skills in dog health, training techniques, and behavioral understanding, fostering responsible ownership and mitigating potential challenges.

4. Community Support & Pet Security
We recognize the profound bond between people and their pets, especially in times of crisis. We are committed to supporting our community by addressing critical barriers, such as the inability for domestic violence victims to bring their pets to safety. By partnering with other local organizations and agencies, we provide secure, temporary housing for their cherished dogs and cats, offering peace of mind and enabling victims to seek the help they need without sacrificing their companions.

Our Services

Rescue

We primarily focus our rescue efforts on large-breed dogs (*We do have breed restrictions).  We particularly emphasis on rescuing German Shepherds. Our commitment extends to two main groups of dogs in urgent need:
Dogs at Risk of Euthanasia: We prioritize rescuing dogs that have been "red-flagged" in shelters.
Stray Dogs: We also dedicate resources to rescuing large-breed dogs found as strays, providing them with safety, medical care, and training.

*Certain Breeds are not accepted

Rehabilitate

Our commitment to the well-being of every dog in our care is at the core of our mission. We achieve this through a multifaceted rehabilitation program and a robust adopter education process.

We've built strong partnerships with dedicated local veterinarians, professional groomers, and expert dog trainers. This collaborative network ensures that each dog receives tailored care addressing all aspects of their well-being:

Medical Needs,  Physical Well-being, & Behavioral Rehabilitation.

Rehome

We rehome dogs upon successful completion of our program, ensuring they are medically sound and cleared by our trainers for non-reactivity.
Prospective adopters must first:
1. Complete an application.
2. Successfully finish an educational training course covering dog health and training.
Upon meeting these requirements, applicants will be eligible for adoption and will then sign an adoption contract.

Shelter for DV Victims Companions

For victims of domestic violence, the inability to bring their pets to safety can be a significant barrier to leaving abusive situations. We partner with local organizations to provide safe and secure temporary housing for their dogs and cats while they receive support and shelter. While there is a time restriction on these arrangements, we work closely with both the domestic violence shelter and the victim to ensure the best possible outcome for their beloved companions.
